Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Oniway, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

Oniway is an event management platform that allows users to create, manage, and attend events. Features include guest management, real-time chat, photo sharing, polls, and payment processing.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Oniway to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Upload malicious code or content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system
• Use the service for spam or unsolicited communications

5. Credits and Payments

Credits are purchased in-app and used to access premium features. Credits are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. Stripe processes all payments securely.

6. Content

You retain ownership of content you upload. By uploading content, you grant Oniway a license to store and display it to authorized users of your events. We do not sell your content to third parties.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Oniway is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oniway shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

• Account information (name, email, password)
• Profile information (username, avatar, location)
• Event content (descriptions, photos, messages)
• Payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card details)

We also collect automatically:

• Usage data (pages visited, features used)
• Device information (browser type, IP address)
• Session data for authentication

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the service
• To send transactional emails (invitations, password resets, purchase confirmations)
• To process payments via Stripe
• To ensure security and prevent fraud

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing
• AWS S3 — for file storage
• Google/Microsoft — if you use OAuth sign-in
• Other users of your events (name, RSVP status, messages you post)

4. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days, except where required by law.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data
• Object to certain processing

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS, bcrypt password hashing, and signed JWT tokens. However, no system is completely secure.

8. Children's Privacy

Oniway is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
